Synthetic people, 5G motion capture and data distribution in the IBC Accelerator 2023 program

Concept demos of all projects will be shown live during the innovation phase of IBC 2023, September 15-18.
Projects related to metaverse synthesizers, 5G-enabled immersive experiences, sign language accessibility, and metadata-based content targeting were finalists for this year’s IBC Accelerator Media Innovation Program.
Test demos of all projects will be presented live at the IBC 2023 Innovation Stage at RAI Amsterdam from 15 to 18 September.
“This year’s accelerating program introduces several exciting new initiatives and also includes projects that build on the exciting innovations achieved in previous years,” said Mark Smith, Head of Innovation at IBC.
“It’s great to see so many dynamic industry pioneers come together this year to explore innovations in areas such as connectivity anywhere for remote production using cloud and edge workflows, human avatar creation, immersive motion, content-based targeting metadata and more. innovative potential, as well as real-time motion capture performance and animation with 5G support. Each year, the program sets new challenges, and we see many home media and entertainment companies and technology leaders, as well as young startups, strive to advance a number of media R&D -solutions”.
