Meta wants to turn Horizon Worlds into a playground for cool kids

Meta has confirmed that it wants to channel teenagers into the Metaverse by opening Horizon Worlds to users aged 13 to 17.
As mentioned earlier, in the coming weeks, the company will begin welcoming teenagers from the US and Canada to Horizon Worlds so they can “explore an immersive world and play games like Arena Clash and Giant Mini Paddle Golf.” in the Metaverse version of the owner of Facebook.

It’s no secret that teens love “metaverses” like Fortnite and Roblox that transcend their video game roots by hosting virtual events like concerts, but will Horizon Worlds bring a sensory experience? What’s appealing to younger gamers remains to be seen.
Meta is currently marketing Horizon Worlds as a “virtual universe with thousands of experiences”, but frankly, the app lacks a focus on similar apps, and despite being free, it also requires (not exactly cheap) headphones to use. Meta research.
